Choir Taster Singing Session September 22nd at 7pm

Well, it’s that time of the year again – Take Note Edinburgh hosts our latest Choir Taster Singing Session on September 22nd at 7pm for new singers looking to join a choir in Edinburgh. We would be delighted if you wish to join us! We are looking for singers across Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses.

Take Note Edinburgh is proud to present our latest Taster Session September 22nd at 7pm

If you are worried about anything, please email us and let us know! We’d love to hear from you and encourage you to come along to our Choir Taster Singing Session to see what we are like.

What we look for

  • Joy of singing! THIS IS IMPORTANT
  • Enthusiasm to learn new musical skills – we teach sight reading, solfege**, rhythm practice and how to read music
  • Interest in learning various forms of music – we have an ever expanding range of pieces that we sing, from Norwegian laments through to Aztec Camera and it grows wider as we grow
  • Ability to sing

What we don’t look for

  • Professional or qualified singers – while we welcome singers of all levels, having any background experience is not necessary – far from it
  • Those already proficient in reading music or reading from scores – handy if you do, but it is not mandatory. We will help you with learning how to do so

How to Get In Touch

Once you have registered an interest to join our Taster Session (September 22nd at 7pm if you hadn’t already realised!), our MD will have a quick chat with you to get to know you, understand where you might fit into the choir and that is it! No auditions, we just need you to fit into our choir, enjoy singing and participate in regular practice. If you want to know more, please check out other reasons why you might want to!
